482 Visa – Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS Visa)

The Temporary Skill Shortage visa (482) was introduced in March 2018 to replace the former Temporary Skilled visa (457). This visa permits holders to work in Australia in their nominated occupation for their approved sponsor under one of three streams:

482 Visa – Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS Visa)

The Training Visa allows holders to participate in workplace-based occupational training to enhance skills or professional development in Australia. There are three types of occupational training covered by this visa:

Skill Enhancement Training: To improve skills in an eligible occupation.

Registration Training: Required for obtaining registration.

Capacity Building Overseas: This includes training related to overseas qualifications, government support, or professional development.
